WANA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA from South Waziristan Zubair Khan Wazir vehemently condemned the brutal firing incident in his ancestral village of Sarki Kot that claimed the life of his close relative, Muhammad Aslam, a Health Department official, and left his brother, Noor Aslam, SDO WAPDA, critically injured.
MNA Zubair Khan Wazir announced that he will soon convene a grand jirga in Wana, bringing together political parties, tribal elders, and key stakeholders to formulate a comprehensive, united strategy for restoring durable peace and stability in the restive region.
In a post on his social media account, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MNA Zubair Khan Wazir stated that Noor Aslam is currently under treatment at the Combined Military Hospital Peshawar, where his condition is being closely monitored.
Describing the incident as not merely a tragedy for a single family but a direct assault on the fragile peace of South Waziristan, MNA Wazir said the people of the region have endured enough bloodshed and cannot be left at the mercy of lawlessness any longer.
“This cowardly and barbaric act has once again exposed the alarming deterioration of the security situation in the region. How long will innocent people continue to pay with their lives? How long will families continue to shoulder coffins instead of hopes?” he asked.
He demanded the immediate arrest of those responsible and urged the state to fulfill its constitutional duty to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property.
“This is not a time for silence; it is a time for unity. We will collectively rise against this wave of violence and devise a durable roadmap for peace in South Waziristan,” he affirmed. He also prayed for the highest ranks in Jannah for the deceased and for the swift recovery of Noor Aslam.
