ISLAMABAD: ARW & Partners LLP, in collaboration with the Centre for Research, Advocacy & Development (CRAD), has announced plans to organize a mega conference in Islamabad to deliberate on the legal and regulatory challenges facing the real estate sector, raise awareness of relevant laws, and develop practical policy recommendations for the future.

The announcement was made during a seminar titled "Opportunities, Challenges & Future of Real Estate Regulations in Islamabad," which focused on the Islamabad Real Estate (Regulation & Development) Act, 2021.

The seminar brought together leading chief executive officers (CEOs), developers, builders and senior realtors from Islamabad, who discussed the legal and regulatory issues confronting the real estate industry and shared their experiences, concerns and recommendations.

Addressing the seminar, ARW & Partners LLP Managing Partner Advocate Abdul Rahim Wazir highlighted various aspects of the Islamabad Real Estate (Regulation & Development) Act, 2021. He explained both the positive impact of the legislation and the practical challenges associated with its implementation, while outlining the concerns of realtors and identifying areas where improvements could make the law more effective and business-friendly.

He emphasized that genuine stakeholders from the real estate sector must be meaningfully involved in the legislative process to ensure the development of a balanced, practical and sustainable regulatory framework.

A key feature of the seminar was the open discussion among participants, who candidly shared their professional experiences, legal concerns, operational challenges and policy suggestions, making the event a productive consultative forum.

The chief guest, Raja Hamid Mahmood, Chairman of Business World, Vice President of the Islamabad Real Estate Association, and Group Leader of the All Traders Association, Blue Area, Islamabad, appreciated the joint initiative of ARW & Partners LLP and CRAD. He stressed that sustained engagement and constructive dialogue between legal experts and the real estate industry are essential to addressing regulatory challenges and strengthening the sector.

Concluding the seminar, Advocate Abdul Rahim Wazir announced that ARW & Partners LLP and CRAD would soon organize a mega conference in Islamabad dedicated to addressing the legal and regulatory challenges facing the real estate sector. The conference will also focus on creating awareness about relevant laws and formulating practical policy recommendations for the future.

He stated that ARW & Partners LLP and CRAD would continue their research activities to promote legal awareness, policy development and effective legislation in the real estate sector, with the objective of contributing to the establishment of a transparent, secure and investor-friendly real estate system that meets international standards.
